Our Favorite Places to Eat in Bend, Oregon - Pac Nor Westy

One of the best things about living and working in Bend is the food. For a town nestled in the high desert, Bend punches well above its weight when it comes to memorable meals. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or a longtime local looking for new favorites, we thought we’d share a list of our go-to spots: from breakfast burritos to delicious ramen to the best dang gelato in the Pacific Northwest.

For Breakfast (or Brunch) Lovers

  • Sparrow Bakery: A local legend. Whether you’re here for their famous Ocean Roll (trust us) or a warm breakfast sandwich on house-made croissants, Sparrow never misses. With cozy seating and a bustling vibe, it's worth the wait.

  • Burrito Sunrise: A hidden gem and a staple for busy mornings. These burritos are hefty, affordable, and satisfying—with plenty of options to fuel your day.

  • Sintra: A downtown darling for elevated brunch. Portuguese-inspired dishes with a laid-back atmosphere, perfect for sipping a cappuccino and lingering over eggs benedict. Be sure to get a Pastel de Nata custard tart.

Lunchtime Favorites

  • Toasty: Comfort food turned up to eleven. Their 100% plant-based menu blows us away every time we visit. Their crunch wrap is crispy delicious perfection. It's fast, filling, and full of flavor.

  • Americana: If you're a fan of an amazing smash burger, this is the place! They have a food cart near The Box Factory at the Podski food carts, as well as their new brick and mortar downtown. Delicious burgers and fries that feels like a hug after a long hike.

  • Fix and Repeat: Healthy, vibrant bowls and smoothies that don’t skimp on flavor. It’s the perfect stop when you want something nourishing and fresh. Bonus that they're right here at The Box Factory.

  • Cotto: Italian Street Food just a few steps away from our store at the Podski food carts. They serve delicious arancini, hot sandwiches, salad, and zeppoles (think hot, delicious doughnuts).

Dinner Go-Tos

  • Miyagi Ramen: Rich, umami-packed broth and perfectly chewy noodles make this one of our absolute favorites. Cozy up in a booth and slurp your way to happiness. Don't miss out on their soft, steamed buns and vegetarian options!

  • Jackson's Corner: A beloved neighborhood spot known for its house-made pastas, wood-fired pizzas, and farm-fresh ingredients. Set in a cozy historic building, it’s the perfect place to grab a hearty brunch, linger over lunch, or enjoy a laid-back dinner with friends. With a welcoming, communal vibe and locally sourced everything, it’s a true Bend favorite.

  • Ranch Butcher Chef: For the meat-lovers, this place is next level. Local sourcing, incredible cuts, and a refined yet rustic ambiance make for a memorable dinner. Amazing cocktails and wine selection to round out your experience as well.

  • Spork: Bend’s most beloved global street food mash-up. The coconut green curry is a standout, but everything, from tacos to fried rice, is a flavor bomb. They also have a kick-tail happy hour with rotating selections.

  • Dear Mom Cafe: Vietnamese food meets moody cocktail bar. Intimate, modern, and full of depth both in design and on the plate. Mom's chicken is nom nom - try it in their pad thai!

Drinks + Bites

  • Monkless Belgian Ales: Even if you aren't a beer drinker, this european-style brew house has amazing food and a killer patio. The riverfront setting, elevated pub menu, and big, flavorful pours keep us coming back.

  • Deschutes Brewery Bend Public House: A true OG of Bend’s craft beer scene that can't be missed. Casual, lively, and full of character (and characters). Great for a pint and a burger with friends.

  • Fire on the Mountain: If wings are your love language, this one’s for you. Housemade sauces, solid beer selection, and a laid-back, funky atmosphere that feels like Portland’s best energy landed in Bend. Be sure to grab some tots!

Sweet Finish

  • Bonta Gelato: Locally made, small-batch gelato that rivals anything you’d find in Italy. Flavors change often, but they’re all creamy, balanced, and absolutely addictive. If you're a coffee lover, their affogato is next-world
